ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged three people in connection to an incident that occurred Thursday near police headquarters downtown.
According to Schron Jackson, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the 20-year-old victim got into an argument at a gas station parking lot at the intersection of S. Grand Boulevard and Alberta Street.
The victim said four people claimed he stole their dog. The argument became physical and the victim's car window was busted.
Jackson said the victim drove to police headquarters, but the four suspects followed in their own vehicle. The victim claimed he was shot at near Tucker and Spruce. However, police found no evidence that a shot was fired and no firearm was discovered, Jackson said.
The four suspects left the area but were later apprehended in the 4000 block of Schiller Place. No one was injured.
Police identified the suspects and their charges as follows:
27-year-old Anthony Simpson: charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action
20-year-old Cody Stanton: charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and second-degree property damage
50-year-old Lisa Stanton: charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action
Lisa Stanton's bond was set at $75,000 cash-only, while the other two defendants' bonds were set at $100,000 each.
The fourth suspect, a 16-year-old male, has not been charged.
