MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) – A 19-year-old Triad High School student faces felony charges related to a number of thefts from cars parked at the school.

Madison County Circuit Court charged Kaylee Coleman with five felony charges of burglary Thursday.

According to Madison County Sheriff's Department, someone entered and stole items from four unlocked cars on the school's parking lot Tuesday morning. The next morning, the sheriff's office monitored the parking lot through surveillance and noticed a woman pull onto the school's parking lot, leave her car and tried to break into several cars.

Deputies identified the suspect as Coleman, and later, recovered a number of items reported stolen from her car, according to the sheriff's department.

She is currently being held in Madison County Jail on $50,000 bond.
