ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The man known as the Interstate 55 Bandit who committed robbery in multiple state throughout 2013 has pleaded guilty, according to the U.S. Attorney's office of Eastern District of Missouri.

Andrew Maberry, 19, of O'Fallon, Ill. robbed a Commerce Bank in Arnold in July as well as nine other banks in five states, including Illinois, Maryland, West Virginia, Tennessee and Missouri.

On September 11, Maberry turned himself into authorities after a multi-state press release was issued for his arrest.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines. No word yet on when the sentencing could be held.
