JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 6-year-old boy who has been missing since the weekend.

Markell Beasley lives in Jefferson City, Mo. with his family. He came to St. Louis Saturday for a Christmas party with relatives of Demitrius Beasley. The relatives then gave the boy to Demitrius.

Demetrius Beasley, 40, is not related to Markell, but had been in a relationship with the boy's mother. He is charged with kidnapping.

An AMBER Alert was issued for the boy Tuesday evening.

Markell is described as standing 51 inches tall, weighing 52 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange hat, grey and orange coat, blue shirt, and blue jeans.

Demitrius Beasley stands 5'11" tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.
