ST. LOUIS - One person is dead after at least three overnight shootings in the St. Louis area.

The first shooting happened around 10:14 p.m. Wednesday night. Police were called to the intersection of Cottage and Sarah for a report of an accident.

Two victims were found inside the vehicle with gunshot wounds. An investigation revealed the shooting had happened while both victims were inside the vehicle in front of the 3800 block of Cottage.

The driver, identified only as a male, was shot in his legs. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The second victim, identified as a 51-year-old male, was shot in his back and forearm. He is listed as critical and unstable.

The second shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. when an argument inside Dante's in Midtown turned into a rolling gun battle. Shots were fired near the intersection of Vandeventer and Lindell, and the driver of one vehicle ran from police after crashing. He was taken into custody.

Nobody was injured in that incident.

The third shooting happened at 20th and Washington around 3 a.m. Police say two men were in their vehicle after leaving City Lounge when another car pulled up and fired shots at them.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the back. Friends took him to an area hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

The second victim suffered a graze wound to his thigh. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

There's no word if police have any suspects in this case.
