EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – An Alton woman has been sentenced for health care fraud.
Roslyn James, 46, was sentenced to four months in prison, four months of home confinement, and three years of supervised release. She is also ordered to pay more than $50,000 in restitution.
James was one of 15 people charged with health care fraud in July. She pleaded guilty to submitting false and fraudulent bills while working as an assistant with the Home Services Program. She admitted to falsely billing the program for services for her son, who lived in California.
