MADISON COUNTY, Ill. – An East Alton, Ill. man is facing cocaine charges.
Jerry D. Roof, 30, is charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (cocaine) and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
A spokesperson for the Madison County Sheriff's Office says an Illinois Department of Corrections parole agent went to Roof's house around 12 p.m. Tuesday for a parole compliance check. The agent found a firearm.
The agent called the Madison County Sheriff's Office, and deputies found around seven grams of cocaine.
Roof was taken into custody and is held at the Madison County Jail. Bond is set at $75,000.
