COLUMBIA, Ill. - The Monroe County State's Attorney's Office charged two men Thursday for their suspected roles in a burglary ring.
According to Colonel Joseph Edwards, chief of police for the Columbia Police Department, two Caseyville men are in police custody: 19-year-old Kerry Gum and 18-year-old Zachary Wood.
Gum is in custody at the Monroe County Jail on $25,000 bond for one count of residential burglary and four counts of car burglary. Wood is in custody at the St. Clair County Jail on $25,000 bond for two counts of residential burglary and 15 counts of home burglary.
A third suspect, identified only as a juvenile from Collinsville, remains on the loose. That individual is wanted on 21 counts of car burglary and three counts of home burglary.
