ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged four people in connection with an armed robbery in the parking lot of a Kirkwood business.
According to Detective Dave Smith, a spokesman for the Kirkwood Police Department, the robbery occurred Thursday, January 30 just before 9:35 p.m. in the 1200 block of S. Kirkwood Road.
Police learned two men—one of whom was armed with a handgun—robbed three men in a parking lot, taking the victims' money and cell phones. The suspects got into a nearby vehicle and were driven away from the scene by a third person.
Smith said one of those suspects was dropped off nearby, returned to the scene on foot, and got into a second car parked in a nearby lot and drove off. A fourth person was driving this second getaway car.
Kirkwood police officers arrested the armed suspect and his girlfriend, identified as 22-year-old Eric Carson and 22-year-old Amber Green, at a residence in High Ridge. Smith said the girlfriend worked at the business where the robbery occurred. Police recovered the handgun used in the robbery, as well as one of the victim's money and cell phone.
The second suspect and his girlfriend, identified as 23-year-old Jerry Marshall and 22-year-old Chelsea Ashcraft, were arrested at a relative's home in St. Louis City.
Prosecutors charged Chelsea Ashcraft with resisting a lawful stop and jailed on $100,000 cash bond. The three other suspects (Carson, Green, and Marshall) were each charged with three counts of first-degree robbery and three counts of armed criminal action. They've been placed in St. Louis County Jail on $100,000 cash bonds.
