FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - The Franklin County Sheriff's Department lifted an endangered person advisory for a two-year-old girl after the child was found safe Monday morning.

The child was dropped off at her non-custodial grandparents' home on Friday for a visit. Her custodial grandparents received a note on Sunday that they would not be returning the child.

With the assistance of Jefferson County deputies, authorities located the child in a residence with the non-custodial grandparents in Lake Takawitha. The Jeep Cherokee described during the investigation was also found there.

The non-custodial grandparents have been taken into custody for investigation of interference with custody, according to authorities.

The sheriff's department said it will provide more information later Monday.
