O'FALLON, Ill. – O'Fallon, Ill. police took one person into custody Wednesday afternoon after a credit union robbery.

Police were called to Scott Credit Union in the 700 block of West Highway 50 at 3:14 p.m.

Officers say the suspect walked into the credit union, and passed a note to a teller announcing the robbery. He inferred he had a weapon, but did not show one.

The suspect ran from the area with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police located a man fitting the description of the suspect riding a bicycle in the area a short time later. "Incriminating evidence" was found in his possession, and the man was taken into custody without incident.

The man's identity will be released if charges are filed.
