ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. - A former St. Clair County judge at the center of a courthouse drug scandal is expected to be sentenced Wednesday.

Michael Cook was arrested last year and pleaded guilty to federal heroin and weapons possession counts.

Cook called 911 after authorities say he found his friend, Judge Joe Christ, dead of a cocaine overdose.

The incident launched an investigation that led to a federal raid of Cook's home.

Cook resigned in May 2013.
