O'FALLON, Mo. (KSDK) - O'Fallon police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly drove up to a group of children earlier this week and offered them candy.

According to Officer Diana Damke, a spokesman for the O'Fallon Police Department, the incident happened March 11 around 5:45 p.m. on Cinnamon Teal Drive.

Police described the suspect as a Caucasian man in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a red baseball cap, driving a grey 4-door sedan.

News of this incident comes just hours after a report out of Lake St. Louis about an 8-year-old boy being offered candy by a man with a similar description.
