SHILOH, Ill. (KSDK) - Shiloh police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man who robbed a local gas station Thursday.

The robbery took place at Midwest Petroleum in the 1500 block of Hartman Lane.

Police described the suspect as an African-American man in his late teens or early 20s, standing 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds with a slender build. He was wearing khaki pants, a black peacoat with a dark-hooded sweatshirt underneath, light grey gloves, a black stocking cap made into a ski mask, and blue and white Nike CB34 tennis shoes.

Officers found the coat and sneakers nearby and have provided up close photos of them in the hopes someone recognizes them.

Investigators believe the suspect was involved in another armed robbery at the same gas station in December 2013.

The Shiloh Police Department is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest of the person responsible. Anyone with information on the case can contact the Shiloh Police Department at 619-632-9047.
