ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Peters woman was found guilty Friday on three felony counts of abuse or neglect of a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Gina Grzeskowiak, 38, threw a can of infant formula at her child July 17, 2013. Someone contact the St. Peters Police Department, and when officers arrived, the child was found to have other injuries that Grzeskowiak told officers she caused.

A 5-month-old child, also in Grzeskowiak's care, was observed inside her vehicle without any kind of seatbelt.

Grzeskowiak was previously convicted of felony endangering the welfare of a child and forgery in Lincoln County, so she was charged for this incident as a prior and persistent offender.

She will be sentenced May 9.

Grzeskowiak also faces charged for writing bad checks to Costco and Baue Funeral Home to pay for her father's funeral.
