O'FALLON, Mo. – Two hundred pounds of marijuana was found over the weekend during a traffic stop in O'Fallon, Mo.

Matthew Serrano, 38, and Vista Scott, 23, both of Los Lunas, New Mexico, were pulled over for a traffic violation at Winghaven Boulevard and White Hawk at 3:50 p.m. Saturday. During the traffic stop the officer noticed the strong scent of marijuana.

A drug-sniffing K-9 was called to the scene and alerted officers to narcotics in the vehicle. A search uncovered nine bundles of what police suspect to be marijuana, weighing more than 200 pounds.

Serrano and Scott are each charged with accessory to trafficking in drugs/attempt to traffic, and each held on $100,000 bond.
