ST. LOUIS – Former St. Louis City Alderwoman Kacie Starr Triplett will not face criminal charges after admitting to spending campaign money on herself.

Triplett will pay $22,000 to Saint Louis Public Schools, an agreement she reached with the Circuit Attorney's Office.

In February Triplett apologized for misusing money from her Friends of Kacie Starr Triplett candidate committee. The Missouri Ethics Commission court filing stated she misused as much as $18,900 to make mortgage payments, pay back student loans, and to buy clothes, among other things.

The prosecutor's office says Triplett has paid $3,500 of the fine so far. If she misses a payment she will be prosecuted.
