FENTON, Mo. (KSDK) - The 23-year-old man shot by police after he was suspected of robbing a cash advance business in a south St. Louis County strip mall is dead.

The incident happened around 10:45 a.m. at a Cash N Go in the 600 block of Gravois Bluffs Drive.

Police responded to the robbery and saw two men leaving a store. Officers took the first man into custody without incident but exchanged fire with a second man.

He was shot and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There is also no word on the amount of money taken or how many shots were fired. No one else was injured in the incident.
