CALHOUN COUNTY, Ill. - A Calhoun High School teacher accused of making terrorist threats is under house arrest.

Police say 36-year-old Michelle Smith left a note in the girls restroom last month that said, "This school is going down today. KABOOM! I'm tired of all the people here. Everyone is going down, the school will be in flames."

The note caused an evacuation but no bomb was found.

On Friday, a federal judge ordered pre-trial house arrest for Smith. Prosecutors had asked that she be jailed without bond.

Smith's public defender argues she had no way to carry out the threat.
