BELLEVILLE, Illinois (KSDK) – Seven people have been arrested after officers found a meth lab and other violations in a Belleville home, according to Belleville Police Captain Donald Sax.

Officers responded to a home in the 3500 block of West A Street after multiple complaints of overcrowding and suspicious activity and found a meth, drug paraphernalia items and other drug-making materials, Sax said.

The seven people, who have not been identified, have been taken to St. Clair County Jail, but no formal charges have been filed.

The home where the lab was found has been determined to be uninhabitable due to sewer-related issues.
