ALTON, Illinois (KSDK) – A tip given to the Alton Police Department through social media lead to charges filed against 10 people in connection to 16 open cases, according to Public Information Officer Emily Hejna.

Three adults and seven juveniles have been charged in connection to the crimes as follows:

Jordan Flowers, Keithsaun Lytle and Yonzae Reed face felony charges. Flowers has been charged with possession of stolen firearm and possession of weapon by felon, while Yonzae and Lytle face felony theft.

Juveniles have not been identified.

According to police, someone posted on the department's Facebook page regarding investigations of car burglaries, thefts and other cases that lead to the department clearing them.

Police have also been able to recover property in seven of the incidents, Hejna said.

Lytle and Reed are not yet in custody but face a $30,000 and $50,000 bond, respectively, while Flowers is being held at Madison County Jail on $75,000 bond.
