ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged a 36-year-old man in connection with a murder at a south city market.
According to Schron Jackson, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the killing took place July 6 just before 3:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Chippewa. Officers found the victim, a 32-year-old man, behind the counter with gunshot wounds to his head and chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
After reviewing surveillance video, officers noticed the suspect standing outside the crime scene and took him into custody.
Prosecutors charged Antonio Muldrew with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, and three counts of armed criminal action. Muldrew remains jailed on $1 million cash-only bond.
The victim's name has not been released, pending notification of family members.
