JEFFERSON COUNTY, Missouri (KSDK) – Police are searching for a man who robbed a Fenton convenience store in early Tuesday morning, according to Sheriff Glenn Boyer.

Deputies responded to the BP Convenience store in the 100 block of Old Sugar Creek Road where a man robbed the store clerk with a butcher knife.

According to Boyer, the man uttered something such as "It's not personal" and demanded the clerk open the register. He took an unknown amount of money and rummaged through the store's business office.

The store clerk left the store and called 911 from the McDonalds across the street, while the robber fled the store.

According to deputies, the man is described as being in his early 20s and standing 5 feet, 10 inches with a slender build of 150 pounds. He wore a black hoodie, jeans, Nike black and white teens shoes and wore a single glove.
