ST. LOUIS – A Hillsdale police lieutenant and an officer pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and attempt to distribute heroin.

According to court documents, Lt. Parrish Swanson, 41, and Officer Raymond Stephens, 29, agreed to help a suspected drug dealer rob a drug courier of heroin in March.

While on duty, Stephens approached the courier and robbed him of four ounces of heroin and sold it to the suspected dealer for $900 in cash. Stephens then gave Swanson $200.

Swanson and Stephens will be sentenced in October 2014. They face up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $1 million.
