ARNOLD, Mo. – A special meeting to request a state audit for the Fox C-6 School District has been called for next week following a controversy regarding district employees cyberbullying parents and community members.
According to a Fox C-6 bulletin, CFO John Brazeal has requested a state audit of district finances for the possibility of fraud and financial mishandling dating back to the 2011-2012 school year.
In his request, Brazeal said evidence shows district finances being used for personal nature, illegal transactions as well as irregularities regarding general obligation bonds. Other possible violation include misuse of district property and destruction of records.
Brazeal is asking the Board of Education to request an audit from Thomas Schweich's office.
Earlier this year, parents accused high-ranking district administrators of cyberbullying. Following a leave of four employees, the superintendent retired, her husband was fired and two others returned to their positions.
The special meeting is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m.
