ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Build-A-Bear Workshop, a company started in St. Louis, has a number of holiday stuffed animals available, but the company is also encouraging people to give back during the season.
Kirsten Lewis, assistant workshop manager at the St. Louis Science Center Build-A-Bear Workshop store, gave a couple of ideas during the News at Noon with Dana and Ryan Dean.
When checking out, customers can donate $1 toward the monthly charity on the pinpad of checkout. During the holiday season, the stores also have four different animals, which with their purchase, will donate $1 toward a charity.
For example, Paperback Pup goes toward literacy programs, Champ is for kids' health and wellness charities, Panda is for worldwide life foundation and the dog is for stray rescue.
