ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) – A Schnucks store is recalling fresh ground beef sold Wednesday evening in one of its St. Louis County stores.
The Des Peres, Mo. store, which is located at 12332 Manchester Road, has recalled its ground beef sold before 7 p.m. after to a metal clip being found in the grinder during its routine cleaning, according to Schnucks spokeswoman Lori Willis.
The ground beef has a sell-by date of Jan. 16, 2014. The recall is only for ground beef sold Wednesday. Other ground beef was removed after the clip discovery.
Willis says the recall is an isolated incident, and there have been no reports of injury or illness.
If you purchased ground beef subject to the recall, it can be returned for a full refund or exchange.
