ST. LOUIS - Another bout of a stomach bug has hit a big cruise ship.
Of the more than 4,000 people on board Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas, more than 600 people have the highly contagious Norovirus, which often comes with vomiting and diarrhea.
The ship bypassed its first scheduled stop in Haiti and went on to Puerto Rico, where crews sanitized it to try to kill the bug. Officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are on the ship to help track the source of the virus.
The cruise, which started in New Jersey, will be cut short by two days and Royal Caribbean told passengers it will compensate them.
We wanted to know more about the Norovirus and how to protect ourselves, so we invited Dr. Dave Warren, an infectious disease specialist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, to join First @ 4.
