MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) – Three Collinsville, Ill. residents have been charged with a February 2011 armed robbery.
A clerk at the Trading Post Convenience Store in the 8900 block of Collinsville Road was robbed at gunpoint by two masked men around 9 p.m. Feb. 20, 2011. The clerk gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of cash, and they ran from the scene.
On Oct. 18, 2013 the Madison County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip implicating 21-year-old Jacob R. Niemeier and 25-year-old Samantha R. Rogers in the robbery. An investigation revealed evidence linking Niemeier, Rogers, and a third individual, 25-year-old Brendan J. Toebe, to the crime.
Niemeier was taken into custody Wednesday; Toebe and Rogers were taken into custody Thursday. All three are charged with armed robbery and aggravated robbery. They are held at the Madison County Jail on $100,000 bond each. The handgun used in the robbery has been recovered and identified as an air-soft pistol.
