ST. LOUIS COUNTY – One of the nominees for the St. Louis County Police Board got approval from the St. Louis County Council Tuesday night.

St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley nominated former Metro head Robert Baer and former Hazelwood Mayor T.R. Carr last month.

The board approved Carr, but only two council members voted for Baer. The rest abstained.

Three board members recently resigned after the FBI began investigating the new County Crime Lab.

Dooley will need to choose two more nominees.
