ST. LOUIS – United Way of Greater St. Louis announced Tuesday they will rename its downtown headquarters the Gary C. Dollar building, after the organization's former president and CEO, Gary Dollar.
The Gary Dollar Fund raised $2.1 million from individual and corporate donors, which will allow United Way to pay off its mortgage.
"Today we honor the past and look toward the future," said Orvin Kimbrough, United Way of Greater St. Louis president and CEO. "United Way has a strong past, helping millions of local people since our inception. Through the generous support of our board and our community, we are positioned to help millions more people live their best lives. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible."
Dollar spent 28 years with United Way of Greater St. Louis.
