HAZELWOOD, Mo. - Hazelwood firefighters made a special delivery just in time for Christmas.

The firefighters spent the holiday season repairing 47 old bicycles donated to the department.

On Thursday they loaded up bikes in a trailer and delivered them to St. Augustine Catholic Church in downtown St. Louis. The church is hosting an annual Christmas giveaway program this weekend.

"It makes everybody here, especially around Christmas time, feel good that we're helping out people that are in need of bicycles," said Eric Kiehl.

The firefighters have been collecting old bicycles and fixing them up for more than 20 years.
