SEATTLE, Wash. - New details emerging about Boeing's revised contract offer to union machinists in Washington.
Tom Buffenbarger, president of the Machinists union, says the offer workers will consider next week is a significant improvement over a contract the union rejected last month. Boeing's new offer includes faster pay raises, a $5,000 bonus, and better dental coverage.
The contract would secure work for Machinists in Seattle on the new 777X airplane.
Twenty-two other states - including Missouri and Illinois - are vying for the project.
