ST. LOUIS – Ameren Missouri has opened its Emergency Operations Center.
A spokesperson for Ameren Missouri says around 1,400 customers are without power, primarily in Jefferson County and southeast Missouri.
"Our crews are focused on restoring power as quickly and safely as possible," said Michael Moehn, senior vice president of Customer Operations for Ameren Missouri. "With the continued bitter cold, we must continue to stress the need for our customers to practice safety when keeping warm."
Customers should report outages by calling 1-800-552-7583 or through Ameren Missouri's website.

Earlier on Sunday, Ameren Illinois opened its Emergency Operations Center.
