JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. - Hillsboro High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning for a security breach involving a student.

The school went on lockdown around 10 a.m.

Parents of students at the high school were contacted via automated phone calls, according to the district.

District authorities said a student "made a poor decision," leading to the lockdown. No other information was provided.
