MOLINE ACRES, Mo. – City leaders met with representatives of a condemned condominium building in Moline Acres Monday night.

People living at the Lewis and Clark Towers were told to leave last week because of broken elevators, pipes and various electrical problems.

The condo association has agreed to make repairs to the building, but condo board members want owners to help with the costs. They say many are not paying condo fees.

Riverview Fire Chief Joe Bommarito says a list of items in need of repair was given to the Lewis and Clark Board of Directors, and each time was given a deadline to be repaired.

Bommarito says the main concern is getting one elevator working. He is optimistic that can be accomplished by the end of the week.

The Riverview Fire Department is waiting for the Board of Directors to call and schedule an inspection.
