ST. LOUIS – Trees are being planted as proof the annual Soulard Mardi Gras celebration is more than just a party.

The Mardi Gras Foundation paid for 160 new trees to line the streets of the historic neighborhood. Some of the money comes from funds raised at the annual Mayor's Mardi Gras Ball.
