MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. - A Maryland Heights family is without a home after a fire ripped apart the residence overnight.

According to the Monarch Fire Protection District, the fire started around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of Hills Gate Court.

Heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming from the rear of the two-story home. Crews were forced to evacuate the home because of structure dangers.

No injuries were reported. While firefighters still have additional areas of the home to search, it is not clear if anyone was inside at the time of the fire.
