ST. LOUIS - A local brewery joins the effort to keep a local grocery store and restaurant open.

Friday night, 4 Hands Brewery gave $2 of every beer bought to Local Harvest. Restaurant gift certificates and punch cards were also for sale.

Local Harvest has already raised over $100,000 through those sales, but still needs about $20,000 to stay open.

"I feel like it's about Local Harvest. It's also about the importance of small business community, the importance of local farms. It is about Local Harvest, but it's also a symbol for the things the community believes in," said Maddie Earnest.

The Jungle Fire, a band which features Local Harvest employees, put on a free show in the tasting room.
