ST. LOUIS – Heat Up St. Louis is partnering with Hardee's restaurants for the 14th year.
The annual Hardee's Rise 'n Shine for Heat fundraiser will be held in the greater St. Louis area in Missouri and Illinois this Friday, Feb. 14.
Made-from-scratch sausage and egg biscuit sandwiches will be available at a special price of $1 between 6 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. All proceeds from the sales of the sandwiches will go to helping Heat Up St. Louis, a regional utility assistance and public education charity.
Heat Up St. Louis helps qualified seniors, disabled, and low-income families who need help paying their utility bills.
Five hundred volunteers will greet and accept tips and additional donations for Heat Up St. Louis at 60 area Hardees locations.
Friday morning, Ameren Missouri presented the organization with a $25,000 donation for its efforts to keep metro area residents warm.
