LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) – A jury found a 40-year-old Elsberry man guilty of giving a fatal dose of heroin to a Moscow Mills, Mo. man, according to Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney Leah Wommack Askey.

Jason Voss received a 7-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter and 15 years for distribution of a controlled substance, according to Askey.

In 2012, Douglas Geiger, 29, was found dead at America's Best Value Inn in Troy, Mo. Toxicology results later showed that Geiger died from a heroin overdose.

Voss and his sister, Wendy Voss, were later charged.

Wendy Voss was sentenced to 10 years earlier this month for possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
