ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Ameren Corporation will have a gradual transition in leadership in the first half of 2014.
Warner Baxter will succeed Thomas Voss as chairman and CEO of Ameren Corporation as Voss prepares for retirement, according to an Ameren spokesperson. Baxter has been elected to the company's board of directors and will serve as president effective immediately.
April 24, Baxter will become CEO and in July transition to Chairman of the Board. He currently serves as president and CEO of Ameren Missouri.
Voss will continue to serve the corporation as executive chairman until his retirement, which is effective July 1.
Baxter has served in a number of roles for the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Ameren and as president and CEO of Ameren Services.
Voss has been CEO of Ameren Corporation since 2009 but has been with the company since 1969.
No successor has been named for Ameren Missouri president and CEO.
