ARNOLD, Mo. (KSDK) – Arnold will no longer issue red light camera tickets – for now, according to city administrator Bryan Richison.
With a recent Missouri Court of Appeals ruling finding the city's ordinance to be criminal, the city has temporarily suspended its program. Richison also cites in the press release a 2009 U.S. District Court magistrate's ruling that found the ordinance to be "civil."
Richison said the city is reviewing its options and hopes the Missouri Supreme Court steps into clarify the red-light camera decisions.
Recently, a judge suspended the City of St. Louis red light camera program before reinstating it a few days later.
