COLUMBIA, Mo. – There's new information from the University of Missouri about a deadly collapse at a school-owned housing complex.
The university now can't tell NewsChannel 5 when the apartments were last inspected.
On Saturday, a Columbia firefighter was killed when a walkway collapsed at the University Village apartments. People who live in the building were forced to move out on Saturday.
Structural engineers have been building supports for the walkways at every other building in the complex.
The school spokesman says every other residential building was inspected over the weekend and only minor issues were found. But he couldn't say how regularly those buildings are inspected.
