ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) – The dog involved in a viral video where a boy could be seen hitting and punching is doing well.

The St. Louis County Animal Care and Control Facebook page said the dog has been cleared by the veterinarian team and does not have any breaks or major damage to her body.

The video circulated quickly on social media Thursday after being posted by the Facebook profile Coats Keshawn.

Thursday afternoon, St. Louis County police arrested two juveniles and referred them to the Family Court for an animal abuse charge.

According to the Facebook post, the dog has been named Honor.

"Honor would like to say good morning and thank you to everyone that gave her a voice. She is doing great and still getting lots of love and attention. Honor would also like to thank Jamie Buehrle for giving her such an amazing new name and being so vigilant in her efforts to ensure her safety," the post read.
