TROY, Mo. - Lincoln County firefighters saved a man and a calf Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters say a calf fell through the ice on a lake off Frenchman's Bluff Road in Troy.

There was a man on the ice trying to save the calf, so firefighters got him back to land, then used cold water rescue suits to break the ice with their hands.

They were able to save the cow, which quickly re-joined the herd.
