ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The westbound lanes of the Poplar Street Bridge were closed for over two hours Thursday morning following an accident on the St. Louis side of the bridge.

The accident happened around 5 a.m.

A tractor trailer and two cars collided on westbound Interstate 64 in downtown. One person was trapped in one of the two passenger vehicles and had to be extricated from the wreckage. Three people were taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The westbound lanes were cleared and reopened by 7:15 a.m.
