ST. LOUIS – A school bus fire caused traffic to back up during the Thursday afternoon rush hour on Interstate 70.

The empty bus caught fire in the eastbound lanes, just north of downtown shortly before 6 p.m.

One lane of traffic was able to get by, but the incident caused a significant backup in the area.
