Bush said in an early Wednesday morning interview that a few small business owners in the area had concerns on the impact the wage hike could mean for their business.
According to a report by the Congressional Budget Office, 900,000 workers could be out of poverty with the wage increase but as many as 500,000 jobs could be eliminated.
Bush also said that with his limited time frame, he hopes to speak to the president about topics such as the Affordable Healthcare Act, transparency in government and the West Lake Landfill issue.
Mike Bush will provide live updates throughout the day Wednesday with more of the interview airing during the 10 p.m. broadcast.
