ST. LOUIS - A couple of champions returned to St. Louis with gold Monday.

Family and friends greeted Team USA sled hockey goaltender Steve Cash and teammate Josh Pauls as they arrived at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Monday night.

Cash, an Overland native, helped Team USA take the gold from Russia in the Paralympic winter games over the weekend.

"It's a great feeling being home after a long journey. I mean I'm not just talking about being in Sochi and being gone for two weeks, it's the four years of sacrifice that I've made and my teammates have made and everything we've been thru together," he said.

Cash also carried the U.S. flag for the closing ceremony.
